What started out as an entertaining experience quickly lost its shine as the novelty wore off, leaving boring, unbalanced combat with a terrible camera and jumping puzzles in its wake.
The camera gets worse over time, or at least its effect on the game does. The jumping puzzles are ridiculously complicated because of this and the fact that many of Lau's aerial moves are hard to steer.
The combat gets stale quickly. The game recycles the same boring enemies over and over and none of them are even remotely challenging, with the exception of the mini-bosses and the boss fights. The mini-boss fights are challenging and rewarding, but too infrequent to keep you interested. The boss fights are frustrating and the game reused two of the bosses in the first 6 levels.
In the end, I got stuck on a jumping puzzle in the Cloud Sea (level 7), where I was supposed to jump and wall run between five floating wall segments to reach a point high above me. After trying for over two hours, I gave up and shut the game off. The end.
