The ending to this game is terrible. Combine that with controls that need work and fairly lame combat and you end up with a much lower rating than last time.

I have had it with games that cannot, or will not, end a story. Leaving loose ends laying around to make way for a sequel is one thing; failing to complete a story at all is just pathetic.

Perhaps combat is more nuanced than just blocking and hammering the x-button, but that's pretty much all I did and I beat the entire last boss sequence without dying even once.

As for the controls, when I step off the edge of a building and my character wheels around and grabs the ledge, why is it that I have to pan the camera all the way around before I can climb back up?

Ultimately the great graphics, intriguing story concept, and interesting climbing-on-buildings mechanic cannot carry this otherwise weak game. I recently beat Advent Rising and here is my point. Were sequels to both that game and Assassin's Creed released tomorrow, I would buy two copies of Advent Rising 2 and toss AC2 at the bottom of my rental list, where it would languish for eternity.
