I am a huge transformers fan. I firmly maintain that Transformers The Movie is one of the greatest movies of all time. That being said, I am displeased by the course that the franchise has taken over the last 15 years or so.
I wanted this game to be good. I wanted to play as Optimus Prime and the rest of the gang and battle the evil Decepticons. Unfortunately, this game sucked. I spent all of my time blasting groups of generic decepti-tard-bots. I did not get to see, let alone play as, any of the classic Transformers that were with me in my childhood.
I did not finish the game, but I could not put up with it any longer. The transforming was largely pointless, so running around in robot form against various other robots (no named enemies that i saw) basically made this into a lame mech game without the slow, thudding movement or the giant missle batteries.
