I was suspicious about this game from the beginning. For starters, the game has no introductory sequence. It provides a bunch of text to read about some war, an important place, maybe a couple of heroes, but that's it.

The combat in this game is designed to bring together elements of two game types: real-time strategy (RTS) and action fighting. You command one or more squads of differing unit types through each mission with some goals to meet along the way. Like an RTS, you tell your squads where to go on the map and they can be matched against appropriate enemy unit types for more damage. Terrain also provides some benefits or challenges. Once your main unit engages in melee combat, the combat "zooms in" and you take control of the leader directly, hacking and slashing your way through the enemy combatants with various sword attacks and some basic combos.

This all sounds good on the surface, but the steep learning curve required to achieve success results in some frustrating times. In fact, I had to set the game aside and go off to do something else for a while because I was getting irritated.

My wife, who likes to watch some of the games that I play, hated the English voice acting. It is arguably the single worst part about the entire experience. In fact, she was so annoyed by it that she demanded I either reduce the volume or turn it off entirely.
